Little Slugger

In preparation of getting Jake ready for baseball we took him to the batting cages this weekend. I cannot believe how hard this child of mine can hit the ball! It was crazy. He has played baseball since he was 4, but nothing like what he is stepping into this year. No more t-ball stand or coach pitch...we are talking machine pitch,so we thought we better get him practicing. He was hitting 45mph balls last night and acting like it was no big deal, I kid you not. He was just awesome!

Even though Michael likes to think Jake got the natural batting skills from him I am pretty sure he got them from me. hehehe.

I had to throw these cute pictures in of Adysen having "study time" with the boys. She loves to do homework when the boys are.
Have I mentioned at all how much homework my kids have everyday! I have mixed emotions on that. I totally agree with the 25 minutes of reading everyday, but is 2 paqes of homework, plus spelling words and reading with a summary really all necessary? The spelling and reading I am totally good with, just not sure about the other two. Am I being totally whiney? I dont know...I just feel like they just spent all day in school and do they really need to come home and do more( I think you and I were just talking about this gma lois..hehe) Whats your opinions?

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Birthday Boy!

Our Cademan turned 6 on August 15! Such proud parents of this little guy we are :D

Michael had drill on Cadens birthday, so we took him out to dinner of his choice, burger king and then took him on his shopping spree that he had requested. He had such a blast walking around toys r us trying to find his present. After about two hours of "looking" we told him he had 10 minutes to find something (everyone was getting a little on edge). He kept going back to the remote control cars and ended up picking out a Ford Truck Remote Control. He also picked out a DS Game. It was a fun shopping spree.

This past Saturday we had his official birthday party! He had requested a waterslide and a snowcone machine. Just by chance the snowcone machine came free with the slide, so that worked out great :D The kids and adults had so much fun on the slide.

Michael also put together a treasure hunt for his "pirate party" and an obstacle course. Those two were a big hit and the obstacle course was HILARIOUS!

Some of the reasons that we love our Cademan so much:

-He is so loving and caring and has such a concern for others.

-Never runs out of hugs and kisses, always telling us how much he loves us.

-His BIG crystal Blue eyes .

-The way he tells us stories and the funny expressions he does when he tells us.

-Such a big helper.

-Such a good big brother.

We love you so much Caden! Happy 6th Birthday!!!

The super fun waterslide!

Such a sweetheart....

My little Caden is such a sweetheart! This is the conversation we had this morning.

M: Caden, what would you like Mommy to make for your birthday dinner?

C: Hmmm.. I dont know, let me think.

M: Okay, let me know. Mommy can make you something super special.

Five Minutes Later...

C: Mommy, I thought about what I wanted for dinner and I think I would like you to take the night off from cooking.

M: I would love to make a birthday dinner though for my little guy.

C: How about we go out to dinner that way you dont have to worry about cooking and you can relax.

M: Don't worry about that Caden. Mommy loves to cook for you guys.

C: I want rolled tacos for my birthday with brocomoli (guacamole).

M: Okay, mommy can make those. '

C: No, I want them from the place with the big taco on their sign.

M: Filibertos?

C: Yes, that is what I want and then you dont have to cook.
Not even two minutes later he came back and said, "I changed my mind...I want McDonalds".

My sweet little guy was so worried about me having to cook on his birthday and just wanted me to take a break. How cute is that! I just love him so much! I couldn't argue with the birthday boy! I am going to love not having to cook though, I do have to admit.

18 months...

Hard to believe I know, but our precious, sweet little lady bug is 18 months! We just love and adore her so much. She has learned to really stand up for her self with two older brothers that love to just love on her non stop and torment her when the opportunity arises. She is talking so well and possibly on her way to potty training here anyday (as soon as I can get her unafraid of the toilet, she is afraid of the hole). She lets me know everytime she needs to go or goes, so I am thinking we are ready. We did go and buy her a pretty princess potty and I just got her unafraid of that so hopefully in the next couple of months we will be diaper FREE!!

At this point I am totally regretting Michael getting fixed, but I honestly feel like I could have 10 kids and still feel that way. I kind of feel like we are also at that odd number and need to even it out too. I keep trying to tell myself we have been blessed with three fantastic beautiful kids and how expensive it already is but it doesnt seem to get the baby fever out of me.hehe.

Adysen says too many words now to even begin to list them all, but one of the newest things she has finally caught on to is... we dont eat before we say prayer and she has now starting bowing down her head and using prayer hands before we eat...it really is quite cute.

Some of the fun things Adysen loves to do...

Play with her baby dolls ( really a hit right now)

Playing outside on the swingset and going down the slide

Swinging on the big girl swing

Singing and dancing

Being Mommys big helper with chores around the house

Loves to help clean up her toys or bedroom

Loves to eat

Enjoys playing with her friends on playdates

Is a total shoe freak (dont let her catch you with your shoes off)

Loves to wear her hairbows and neclaces ( she always makes sure we have them on her before we leave the house)

Loves to play in the water

Loves her "boys"

Loves to give kisses and hugs to everyone (we had a meeting at our house and she wanted to give the gentleman that came over a kiss good bye..all I could keep thinking was, "please dont kiss her", we didnt know this guy but for 30 min, thankfully he just shook her hand).

Loves to climb

Loves to brush her teeth

Here are the many faces of Adysen....

Adysen opening up a savings account at the bank (we do this for all the kids at 18 months). She got to grab a hand full on money out of the piggy bank and whatever she pulled out she got to keep..she got a whole whopping $1.76.

w

And we snuck in a picture of Adysens prayer hands cause it was just too cute!

Loves brushing those teeth!

And there you have it...Our big 18months old!!

Monster Trucks

Michael, Jake and Caden had a guys night out this weekend with Uncle Mike and Jace to the monster trucks. They had a blast! My boys may be hard of hearing now due to the outragously loud trucks (despite the ear plugs they wore), but they just thought it was the coolest thing ever! They have been playing with their monster trucks ever since they got home (including first thing this morning when they got out of bed) and driving mommy and daddy bonkers with all the ramps they are making with whatever household item they can find to do it with. I think I am going to need to borrow those ear plugs!

My BIL got some pretty awesome pictures with his camera and I think he now has my husband convinced that we should get one like his (after months of me telling him we needed a "big camera", thats what I call them, hehe.)

Whille the guys were at the Monster Trucks Adysen and I went to a homewarming party for Michaels cousin with my SIL and neice. Beautiful home might I add. And then we just came back here and the girls went to bed while we chatted and had some girl time. It will be so fun when we can have a Girls Night out with Adysen and Patann.

Here are some pictures of the monster truck show....
