Spring Break Madness!!

We have had so much going on this month! I think we have hit a record of 6 birthday parties in the last two weeks, lots of playdates, and family fun. The boys have been off for spring break the last week and we still have 1 more week to go. Here are some of the things that have been going on in the Ryan household the last couple of weeks.

My Little Guy Turned 7!!

Jake turned 7 on March 14. He has turned into such a little gentleman with the sweetest heart.
He is such a good kid, does awesome in school, and has matured so much over the last year.
We are so proud of him. We love you Jake.

Jake asked for roller blades this year for his birthday! With lots of practice and many trips around the block he is doing awesome!

Renaissance Festival

We took the kids to the Renaissance Festival this year for this first time. I am still not sure
if I loved it by any means. It was neat and they had alot of cool things there, but I really did not care for the crowd per say for my kids. I know that during those times the dresses and
things the women wore very revealing ( I guess is the right word), but even at one point Jake
said, " Mom look at that lady, her chest is falling out of her dress, how inappropriate!"(hahaha) So we had alot of explaining to do. I just have alot of mixed feelings on that. We did have a good time with the archery, watching the jousting, eating turkey legs (which I was totally unsure with at first, but we made a family pat to all try it, and it was actually really good), climbing rock walls, making candles, there was alot there to do.

St. Patricks Day

Being that my husband is Irish we thought it was appropriate to celebrate St. Patty's Day in style. We all brought a "Green" Dessert to share and my SIL/BIL were nice enough to have us over to their house. We did a Shamrock Hunt, the kids colored some St. Patricks Day pictures, she had some super fun mazes/wordsearches. We ate dessert and the kids had alot of fun! Thank you Amy and Mike for a wonderful evening!

(My SIL walls and chairs are really not pink, but for some reason look like it in the picture..hahah.)

Vietnam Memorial Wall

The traveling wall was in town last week and my husband being in the military he thought it would be a good history lesson for the boys to go and see it. It was very emotional and I the boys were actually very in to it. You actually do not realize how many people died and the sacrifies that were made until you have seen this wall. It is crazy.

This was only half the walll. I could not get it all on my camera. Crazy, huh?

Fishing fun!

We went with the Neisius Family to the Lake and did some fishing. We all agreed that one of us needs to invest in a boat! We caught no fish, but it taught the boys an important lesson in that we are not going to catch something everytime we go. They were okay with it and still had a blast fishing and playing with friends.

Justin, Jake, Caden, Jade, Kirstin, and Aidan

Caden--Our Little Fisherman...He seriously is the best little fishermen. He has the patience it requires.

Kirstin and Jake fishing away!
Aidan, Kirstin and Adysen having fun in the sand!
Little Lexi-Lou
Addy-Girl! She loved throwing rocks in to the Lake. We didnt catch any fish, but a friend of ours caught a tomatoe! Does that count? Hahah. We all thought it was pretty funny! That must have been some killer bait! haha.

Hanging out with Friends....

Hanging out at the park with friends...Fun Sleep overs...At the movies...Adysen is starting to enjoy the birthday cake way too much!
Adysen and her cousin Jace

The Toothfairy is going broke!

Jake has lost 4 teeth in the last two weeks!!! One night I forgot to put money under his pillow, so I ran to put it under his pillow before he saw and when i moved the pillow he got up, so i had to leave the tooth! I just tolh him the toothfairies bag must have been to full and probably would swing back by to get it tonight...she remembered! haha.

Sneak Peak of Adysens Room!!

We are almost done..we just need to finish caulking and painting the molding and then decorate!! More pictures to come soon! I hope she likes pink cause there is alot of it!!

Well my Little Lady has awoken from her nap, so my blogging time must end! Would love to see or hear what everyone else has been up to over spring break!!!

Recap of the Last Couple Weeks...

Where do I start?

I feel like we are a bunch of crazies around here lately!
Michael and I were working opposite schedules there for about a month or so, that was extremley hard! He would come home and I would go straight out the door to work and then worked my all day Thursday and Friday shift. I am so glad that is over! The head doctor at work finally let me hire someone to help me out the days that I am not there, so I spent a good month training her to do some of the things that would take a load off my shoulders. She has five kids of her own, so we job share and it has just been so awesome! It has been nice having her and so much less stressful for me. Thank you Krystal!

Valentines Day
was very low key being that we just got back from a week long trip. I made the kids heart shaped grilled cheese with tomatoe soup and I cooked Michael and I up a lobster with a nice salad and a twice baked potatoe, it was delicious! We rented Madagascar 2 and watched it with the kids that evening and it was so nice just to kick back and not do anything!

My husband surprised me with new couches that next week and I cannot tell you how happy I was to get them. I am sure that you all heard me at one point or another wine about my couches! We bought them when we got married (9 years ago and three children later) and they are just NASTY! I have had them cleaned several times, the cloth on them was coming off in certain areas, just gross! We talked about it last year and decided that we would wait until the kids got older to buy new couches (cannot have anything nice with kids, haha) but I think Michael could not stand it any longer either.
So here are my new couches!!!!

The rest of the last couple weeks has just been the usual running around to birthday parties, playdates, we even squeezed a date night in there and went to dinner at Texas Road house and bowling with some friends of ours! I needed a night out desperately. We try to do it once a month, but that was our first date night since October.

Here are a couple of pictures of the kids over the last couple weeks...

The boys on their "dune buggy" (its really just an old golf cart) out at the farm on Presidents Day. They did very well that day and only crashed it twice.

Bailer and the boys helping Papa get the tractors ready and geared up for Hay Season!

Adysen and Jace having a picnic at the park!
It was really warm out that day..My little bugs cheeks were flushed. Thanks for a fun picnic Nini and Jace!

Adysen and Alexa playing at the park and sharing cheetos!
They are both so darn cute!

My Three Little Munchkins Feeding the ducks..

I love this picture of them!

We have started painting Adysens room FINALLY ( I know its sad, she is a year old and we are just now starting), more pictures to come with the finish product!

And Last...My poor husband has been so sick with pneumonia! He came home on Thursday really feeling yucky and by Friday was running a high fever. I had him come in to my work to see the NP and she said he had bronchitis and gave him some prescriptions and sent him on his way. By Sunday night he was still running high fevers and just looking really bad. I told him if he was not better by tomarrow morning that I was going to call work and have them fax over an order for a chest x-ray to see if he had pneumonia. Sure enough we go get the x-ray and they call us back an hour later and said he has pneumonia! He has been getting alot of extra TLC and I have been trying to doctor him back up to recovery. I hope you feel better soon babe!
