Can you believe the summer is already over? It just did not seem long enough!
Today was the boys first day of school! Jake is now in 2nd grade and Caden is in 1st grade. They were so exited to get to school and see all of their friends that they did not get to see over the summer. They were both quite bummed that they did not get in the same classes as their BFF's, but found out quite a few other friends were going to be in their classes this year. My little guys are growing up way to fast!
I am sure going to miss my little guys, but so thankful to be back on a routine again! We sure are going to miss sleeping in too and all the fun things that come with summer fun.
Here are some pics of Jake and Caden on their first day of school!

New do!
Yeppers, I did it! I took 6 inches off the ragedy mop that I had, went back to my natural color (chocolate brown) and put some natural highlights in it. Awwww...it feels so much better. My hair girl texturized it too so it wouldnt be so thick hot and heavy! Maybe I can actually wear it down more often now and get everybody off my case (hehehe). So this is the new do..not a drastic change or even a good pic, but here it is...

Back to the Real life...
We are so thankful that we got to spend the week in San Diego this past week. Our little family had such a blast and we were so sad that we had to come back to the "real life".
We spent most of our time at the beach, but we were able to hit Sea World and Legoland too. The weather was perfect (in the high 70's the entire time), the parks and the beach were not crowded at all, and it was just a fun family vacation!
***NOTE***Legoland just flat out STUNK! We had heard from several people that had went that it wasn't all that great, but we thought we would check it out anyways cause you never know and we should've just listened... it was HORRIBLE! The best way I can describe it is giant carnival. I mean the things they build out of lego's are really cool, the rides were disappointing for the kids (except they did love the roller coasters), and we didnt even make it to the back of the park cause everyone was ready to go. They only have a few rides so they were quite the wait to get on them. The money that you pay to get into the place is definatley not worth it...I actually felt sick to my stomach that we paid to get into Legoland for the amount of money they charged us to get in. I was tempted to take the survey at the end thats how horrible it was!
The kids loved the beach! Adysen we had to watch like a hawk cause she was bound and determined to make it out to the middle of the ocean. That water did not scare her one little bit! I thought since it was cold water she wouldn't like it that much and it would detour her...NOPE not my little fish! The boys and Michael enjoyed their boogie boarding the entire time. I just laid out by the beach when Adysen wasnt in the water and loved every second of it! We did some "treasure" hunting along the shore and found lots of seashells, sand dollars, and some other sea treasures.
Jake boogie boarding Caden hitting the big waves! Adysen boogie boarding! My boys Sand Fun!This really freaked me out..michael took jake pretty far out to ride the boogie board in..you can barley see jakes head in this picture. Caden and daddy trying to find the perfect wave to roll in. Treasure Hunting! Beach fun!Soooo tired...This is when mommy got to lay out and relax for a couple hours. It was so nice!
Seaworld was a hit! The last time we went to Sea World the boys were 2 and 3, so it was fun taking them back and this time we had Adysen to share it with too. I was nervous about taking Adysen cause you never know what to expect with an 18 month. Well, I believe we are going to have another animal lover! She sat through every single show and loved every minute of her day at Seaworld! She was so cute and got so exited, so exited in fact I think more people sitting by us were watching her more than the shows. It was hard not to get exited with her! Jake and Caden loved all the shows too and loved learning about all the ocean creatures. It is just a really neat place to visit. The best part is we got in for free..cha-ching! They offer military and their families a free day at Seaworld, so we took advantage of it! The kids watching the dolphin show Checking out the sharks Jake feeding the seals The kids getting hands on action with the star fish Mommy and Adysen Best kids ever!
Legoland...well yeah we already know what we thought of Legoland, but here are some neat pictures of some of the things made out of legos.
Cannot forget about the good eating and neclace making....
The boys were so exited about their shark teeth neclaces
Thank you to my little family for an awesome vacation and wonderful memories that will last a lifetime!!!!
